All nails are set just below the wood surface and filled with epoxy mixed with fairing filler.

Low spots and imperfections in the wood are filled with epoxy mixed with fairing filler. An obvious low spot (viewed from aft) is visible in the picture above.

All surfaces are sanded smooth to prepare for epoxy barrier coating. The low spot (viewed from bow) from the previous picture has been filled and sanded smooth (fairing).

All surfaces have been faired as much as possible at this point in the finishing process and are ready for epoxy.

Thickened epoxy fillets are applied to all wood joints before sealing with epoxy.
