To enable cleaning and future maintenance, the floor will be built into six removable sections.

All the floorboards are shaped and cut to fit. The boards will be removed and numbered so they can be set back into the proper place. Each board will be coated with 4 coats of epoxy for moisture resistance and then 6-10 coats of varnish for UV protection and a beautiful finish.

After the floor boards are finished, support boards are constructed, epoxy coated and painted to match the hull interior.

The floorboard sections are assembled by attaching the support boards to each board with 2" stainless steel #10 screws bonded with epoxy.

The support boards hold the floorboards together and fit snugly against the hull so that the floorboard sections are secure and will not move around when you walk on them or the boat is in rough water.

The 6 removable sections are assembled. The forward section is one piece, the midships section is 2 pieces and the aft section is 3 pieces.

The forward section requires a bit more assembly. Small planks will be added to fill in the tight voids around the hull.
